How long does it take for the referral discounts ($5/mo.) to appear on the bill? Are you able to confirm online the referrals?

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.
Both you and your friend must remain active and in good standing for 30 days after the referral is complete, no eligibility checks or confirmations will take place for at least 30 days after the referral has been submitted.
Until then, all referrals will be noted as “Pending” in your dashboard.

Once a referral has been redeemed by your friend, you can track the status in your dashboard by re-visiting Virginplus.ca/refer on the same device and browser you registered with, or by clicking the dashboard link in your referral registration confirmation email.
Once your friend’s eligibility has been confirmed, the referral will be noted as “Successful” in your dashboard. Once your eligibility is confirmed, we’ll send you an email to let you know and you will receive the first installment of your credit on your bill within 1-2 billing cycles.
If your referral did not meet eligibility requirements, it will be noted as “unsuccessful” in your dashboard.

I am not able to see a section for Referrals on my dashboard. Is it something that will show after 30 days?

I have paid 3months bills now and none of the bill reflect my credit get from refer-a-friend.
I can check on the app that saying I have successfully referred several friends. But the credit I should get just don’t appear in my bill.
asked online customer service, they said they have no accessibility in the refer-a-friend program.
do you guys received your credit?

Hello,
Can somebody direct me why i have still not received my Friend Referral Credit? I find it to be a scam, I've followed all eligibility requirements including the fine print and confirmed that i qualified... i sent the referral in November 2021, and it was accepted and account created on his end within the same month. It's now March 2022 and yet i don't see a credit. I know it's only $5/mth... would you be happy to buy a car and they say if you buy the whole thing you'll get 4 wheels... in this case it's like i only received 3 wheels... and the 4th is mysteriously missing! I don't know why these companies make it so easy for you to churn....just keep me happy and i'll bring you customers...and i'll take all my friends away from you.

Has anybody been able to access the "dashboard" to view the referrals? I've submitted more than one referral previously but I've only received credit for one referral. I have submitted multiple referrals recently (I have email confirmations) but cannot see the status on the dashboard. I only see the "refer a friend" page. I am totally blind and am dependent on the validity of the virgin plus program and the rules state that the customer support personnel are not able to see or assist with this either.

Hey there @asterisk,
In order to access your dashboard, you need to make sure to use the same device and/or browser that you first used to register. If you did, you can try to clear your cookies and cache and try again and also make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off or use the Refer-A-Friend link found in your registration email.

On 2022 September 25, I brought 2 friends to Virgin Plus store. They both are new to Virgin Plus, and are getting the same cellular plan. The Virgin Plus staff said all I need to do is copy the Virgin Plus friend referral URL, and text that link to my 2 friends. They both complete the forms as per the referral URL with the assistance from the Virgin Plus staff at the store. For one friend, I received acknowledgment that we both would be getting the $50 referral benefit, but as for today 2022 September 29, still did not receive an email of acknowledgment. Is it because I can not have 2 friends within a day?
I tried to logon to see if there is any status on the Virgin Plus dashboard, I don't see any referral status for any friend (even I have one successful acknowledgment). I have read related posting in this forum, it is not helping, just don't see any status of any kind. I called Virgin Plus, they can't see anything neither. They suggest that I wait for next billing. I wondered if they way I the Virgin Plus staff in the store told me to share the friend referral URL ie via texting instead of via email?
Anyway, I am posting to see if anyone else out there have similar problem?

I can't for the life of me find this referral dashboard after following the virginplus.ca/refer link on all of my devices (and quadruple-checking the original device and browser I sent it with. I never received a confirmation email that my friend successfully signed up even though I watched her do it since I was sitting right next to them. This was during the Black Friday craziness and I know a lot of systems were buckling (my port from Koodo took over 36 hours because of the overloaded systems). Inexcusable? I think so, they used my referral link after all.
Many searches on this forum and other external forums underscore how terrible the "automated" system is for referrals at Virgin. It's downright frustrating how difficult they make it to confirm and track referrals because of how useless and inept their system is--this is almost fraudulent. At the very least make a dashboard system that is easy to find within your account, this shouldn't be rocket science. It's made difficult either maliciously or by incompetence or both.
I don't have a question, just wanted to air a complaint and hope they improve and overhaul this system. Yes I can be patient and wait 6 months to see if anything changes, but should I have to? That's rhetorical--of course I shouldn't.

Last year during Black Friday, I got my friend's referral link to subscribe as a new customer of Virgin. Then, I also referred another friend to join Virgin. The staff said each monthly credit of $10 would appear in payment starting from Dec, 2022. However, until now (Feb 18), the credits have not appeared. We called the centre and asked the staff in-store. All the staff just asked us to wait......... A week ago, I sent an email request to Virgin again and there is still no reply....... the customer service is totally a disaster... sigh

As said by @VirginPlusAntgio, any referrals made would need to remain in good standing with their account while the referral is reviewed and for 30 days after it's completed.
It's also recommended to monitor the the Refer-A-Friend dashboard to keep up to date on the status of any referrals.

When will my Refer a Friend Discount of $ 5.00 per month for 10 months show up on my bill?
It was very difficult to set up and not user friendly.
The agent I spoke to said it can only be online and not with her help.
