Help!
I am trying to setup my blink doorbell camera,
after a few phone calls they say it is my internet and the camera requires 2.4 gigahertz. And that I currently have 5?
what does that mean? What do I do?
thank you in advance,
rebecca

Hi there, @Rebecca. Welcome to the Virgin Plus Community, and thanks for your post.
Your modem produces both a 2.4 GHz and a 5 GHz network. When connecting your Blink cameras to your internet, have you made sure that you're connecting them to the 2.4 GHz network and not 5 GHz?
If you're unable to see the 2.4 GHz network locally, give these steps a try:
- Log into your modem at 192.168.2.1
- Click on Manage My Wi-Fi
- You'll see an option showing "Whole Home Wi-Fi - Let Steve/Valérie/Vincent optimize Wi-Fi throughout your home"
- Disable this option, then restart your modem
After this, both the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks should be visible.
If not after these steps, you'll want to give your modem a factory reset.
Let us know if you were in further need of assistance 🙂

I am a new customer and I am trying to connect all my Google devices. I was with Bell, and they encouraged me to switch to Virgin. My doorbell camera (in Canada) will only connect at 2.4ghz. I do not see advanced options when I go in as admin on the modem to try to ensure there is a visible SSID for 2.4ghz. My doorbell now refuses to connect. When Bell set me up they had set up a separate 2.4ghz ssid so my google devices would work. I got the thermostat connected and working and the various speakers. I just can't get the doorbell working. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I have the same problem, and when I go to Manage my WIFI I cannot click on "Whole Home Wi-Fi - Let Steve/Valérie/Vincent optimize Wi-Fi throughout your home". The 2.4ghz network is not visible

I finally called support and they remotely accessed my modem and setup a visible SSID for 2.4ghz and I connected my doorbell and other Google devices to it. I also had to connect my phone to the 2.4 SSID when I want to access or manage the devices.
