Hi there, @Igor39. Welcome to the Virgin Plus Community.
While the Valerie modem does indeed have a slot for a back-up battery, we ourselves do not sell and/or provide replacements for said batteries.
Let us know if you have any further questions.

Hey there @Mend ,
Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.
The battery status will not affect the performance of your modem, however in the instance of a power outage, if the battery is defective and unable to supply the modem, you will lose access to the service until the power returns.
Let the Community know if you have more questions.

the i button is red on my virgin modem, when I pressed it, the screen showed the following message: Replace the battery. Do I need to replace the battery or just ignore the message? Thank you

Just recently our modem has started to beep. There was also a flashing red light. It was the battery (we weren’t even aware there was a battery in the modem), so we disconnected the battery to sideline it, and the internet seems to work just fine without it.
I have several questions:
1. Can we just leave it like that, without the battery?
2. If we need to replace it, does a Virgin technician have to come in to do that? Or, will Virgin courier us a new modem for us to replace it?
3. Will they replace the entire unit or just the battery?
If the battery is there to help during power outages, then perhaps it’s never worked properly because whenever we have a power outage in the past, our internet has always gone offline temporarily and I’d assume, if the battery was working, that wouldn’t happen.
