How Pre-Authorized payments work?

I activated the pre-authorized payment on my account. Its due date for last bill, was yesterday. There is a record on bill history that shows the bill was paid yesterday. However, in my bank account there is no record to in order to deduct the bill till now.

I know it might take time, but I'm curious if this action affects credit score or not?

I recently switched to Virgin and set up the Pre-authorized payment option through my bank account. It seemed to work as there was a green checkmark on the app next to my Pre-authorized payment option. However, it was supposed to be taken out of my bank account yesterday and was not. I'm unsure as to why it has not worked since it was supposed to be automatic. I'm not sure what to do and don't want charges on my account for something malfunctioning on Virgin's side of things. 

I just received a text claiming to be from Virgin 433213. Had a heart attack seeing a missed bill.  What the problem was I changed the payment from credit card to bank.  The date of the billing had me wondering. This had me going really bad.  Should have known!

I have set up auto-payment and the due date was yesterday (June 25th, 2025). However, no transaction has been made by Virgin Plus and I noted a mail was received that my billing cycle would be on July 11th instead. Can Virgin Plus advise the rationale behind for the change ? Also, it is essential NO change would be made to my phone number. Thank you.
