Anyone else get this text message from 433316 - is this a scam ?

I joined and it worked, but I forgot to look for fine print before I did so. My plan is up right away and I may go to another provider if I can't get a cheaper plan since I rarely call or use data and they only give me plan options that are more expensive for more data.

It is not mentioned anywhere that this Crave package ONLY WORKS ON THE PHONE.
I also have TV and Internet with Virgin and went through hoops to get Crave to work on the TV, to no avail.
I finally called tech support and found out why. I went back through all the emails, FAQs, advertising info and nowhere does it mention that it is only for the phone. I would have saved myself a lot of time and frustration if this had been clear up front.
I am posting this so others do not have to go through what I did. It also probably addresses a lot of the questions posted in this stream

Activated the "free" subscription from crave and then received an email that I'm being charged the monthly fee. Who fixes this issue?

I have also not had any luck accessing the free Crave Basic. I do not have an account with Crave and I cannot seem to set one up: I just seem to go around and around in circles on both crave.ca and vpc.ca/crave. What am I doing wrong? I have even tried to subscribe on the crave.ca but nothing works to even get an account set up in the first place. I must be missing something...this is so frustrating and not at all "easy". I have tried both on the app on my mobile and on my laptop...literally no joy! Please help!

After numerous calls to Virgin I finally got someone who told me to call Crave TV Support 1-888-272-8388 and explain the situation. They set me up with a Crave account (makes no sense to me) and I have been able to use the service ever since. I was afraid that setting up a Crave account would incur charges but that was not the case. Good luck
