Anyone else get this text message from 433316 - is this a scam ?

Question. I had started my Crave subscription and was using it. But today I started a new plan (sweetpay & plan)… and the Crave offer is no longer in my “others” section of the add-ons. Does this mean I will start to see charges from Crave. Do I simply unlink my account to avoid charges on the Crave platform?

In November I received a Text from virgin that read :

I activated the free crave basic account and a month later I was due for a new phone so I upgraded my phone and my crave basic access stopped working. I called support and they said it was because I got a new phone (essentially same virgin plus mobility plan). I called support and they said my crave access was affected because I had upgraded my phone. Kind of frustrating to get a text about getting free access to crave basic for being loyal customer then a month later cutting off my access because I upgraded my old iPhone to a newer model under another virgin plus mobility plan. Has this happened to anyone else?

I received an email about a free Crave subscription for Virgin Plus members and it is unclear if it is a legitimate email. I can't find anything about this promo on the Virgin website. All I can find is 6 months of Crave for $39.99. Is the free Crave promo legitimate?

The exact same thing happened to me.
Oddly I could still log into Crave. It looked like the Crave account was still active and I didn’t see any charges anywhere. But because I didn’t want to risk being charged (since I saw that it was not on my list of benefits anymore), I deleted my Crave account and unlinked the Virgin account.
(I could see it listed as a benefit under my daughter’s account but not mine.) So it made me nervous to have an active Crave account that I had started for free - but wasn’t sure if charges would randomly appear on my credit card.

I've had Crave for free via Virgin, but can't access it anymore.
Does anybody have the same issue? Is there a reason why???

I have the same question…. Clear as mud that it’s free if you meet the criteria. I think I will make a call just to be sure as I don’t like surprises 3 months down the road

Calling generally doesn’t work. They give you very loose answers like “do you see it in your benefits section?
If not - I don’t think they are clear when you would start getting charged. I think it would be fine if they send you an email letting you know you are losing the benefit if that situation arises - but I don’t think there are any warnings.
was too nerve wrecking for me so I unlinked my account from Crave. I would guess getting a refund on a Crave subscription is probably not easy.
