The Valerie box display says New device connected. I have not connected anything new. Is this going to develop into a problem?

Yes, I was able with the help of Virgin. Perhaps I could have done it myself, though. The operator updated the box. Apparently, it needed an update, which I find odd, being under the impression that updating is an automatic feature. Then, she had me perform a factory reset, which is a simple matter of pressing and holding the reset button for 25 to 30 seconds and following the online commands from there. I never had so much difficulty with services from my old provider as I have had with Virgin.

Hi @Alanis @senk1s @Jaybomb @Jan0412
- If there's an issue with your Internet connection, you can usually fix it by rebooting your modem.
- On your Valérie modem, locate the power cable.
- Remove the cable. Wait 10 seconds and reinsert the cable.
- Wait until all 3 LED lights are white and Home Internet: Connected is displayed.
if is still see the red light on screen modem valerie showing new device connected then have you try to do Factory Reset, and if your not have internet connection then nessessory need a replace the modem.

After posting today about my settings not being saved if i power OFF my Valerie,( please read it ) I just noticed the posts on here about the display changes , red light, white password light and the words New device connected.
For 4 years all I ever had on my display was the one white symbol after powering on each day, all changed now, what is going on.???? If I change my admin settings and leave Valerie POWERED ON all is good, but as mentioned for 4 yrs my settings where saved no matter what.
Changing my Valerie does not help, they sent me a replacement 2 wks ago and same problem with that. Maybe this was an update that needs work, all I ask is for control of my router. Any help appreciated, thnx.

Right I called they did a firmware update fixed it for 3 days and then yesterday same thing this time they couldn’t do a firmware update so I got a new modem yesterday, wake up today to the new device connected all settings changed the Valerie user interface is back to the old one before the update and even causes ps5 to drop 90% in speed even thou it connected via Ethernet. Something about that firmware is blocking the ps5

Yes, dear, mine is functioning normally. I advise you to follow the steps I took as opposed to the inaccurate offerings of others. I am not sure what your particular problem could be. Bell products are finicky devices at best and remind me of every motorcycle I used to have in my youth. Good luck.

hi, i am able to get display and other settings such as wifi to stay off in admin as long as i don't turn off the router...................just to see if its just me can you turn off your wifi in admin, save then power off then on, then see if your wifi stayed off???........I rarely use wifi and had it turned off for 4 years and my settings where never altered by turning off the system. Now all that has changed, even with a replacement Valeria. thnx

Thank you! And I hear you. Switching providers has proven more difficult for me as well.
