Keep getting message on phone and tv that I need to update the app. I click on update and only choice is unistall or open. No option to update

The issue has been corrected for me this morning. No longer getting update pop up and tv working fine again

Same issue here on Google Chromecast 4k streamer. A pop up keeps flashing on the screen with the following message
"The version of the Virgin Plus app you are using will be discontinued on March 31. To continue enjoying the app, please update to the latest version. Minimum system requirements: Android 7.0+.
Later Update"
If I manage to click on later, it stops for a few minutes. If i press on update, it brings me to the Google Play Store where there is no update available. My only options are to Open or Uninstall.
I tried clearing Cache and Data. I tried Force stop and opening it after a minute. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing fixes it

Yup. Having the same issue on Chrome, but not if I cast from my phone.

Same. We have uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times, it lasts about 15 minutes and we have to go through the same process again.

I have the exact same issue starting today as well. in the meantime I mirror from my phone or use any apps not virgin.

We have the same issue. I've tried on multiple tvs and just get the option of open or uninstall!

Getting the same issue.
Keeps saying need to update the app, nothing on the app side.
Looked at my android version and it is 7.0 as well.

Getting the same error message. The Virgin Plus TV App doesn't work on the TV but works fine using Firestick and casting with phone. Exact same problem described by contributor GB24. Was on the phone with technician but he didn't seem to know what the issue was and is escalating the matter. App is very glitchy.

Keep receiving the following error message on any streaming device used. This started today, Feb 26th, 2025

This was on Google Chromcast.

Same! It's very annoying & I can't find an answer anywhere. Using the chat, I followed all directions & it STILL didn't fix. Ugh.

This keeps popping up on my Sony Bravia running Android TV OS version 10;
"The version of the Virgin App you are using will be discontinued on March 31st. To continue enjoying the app, please update to the latest version. Minimum system requirements: Android 7.0+"
I clicked the update button and now the update pop up box keeps flashing on my screen making it impossible to watch a program. My TV screen now rapidly alternates between the show I'm watching and the update pop up box.
I've uninstalled and re-installed the APP to no avail.
Virgin Plus TV I hope you monitor this forum. I also hope you fix your hastley released failed APP update promptly.

It started for me about 2pm yesterday. Got up this morning and have not had it happen again, this was 3hrs ago. Yesterday during issue I unistalled and reinstalled the app on my tv. Not sure if that helped or not......
