I have a Samsung Galaxy 9 phone. The ear piece doesn't work so I can't hear anyone when they call. I wanna switch sim card to Samsung Galaxy 6 how do I know if the phone is locked to a carrier I put simcard in phone it showed my number but I couldn't send any text. It said no network found does that mean its locked and I need to unlock it.

Hey there @SledHead81,
Welcome to the Community, that's a good question.
When you place your SIM card in the phone, a quick way to find out if it's working is to look for the word "Virgin" on the top banner of the phone. If it does appear and the phone is still not working, you can look to see if the phone's OS is updated to it's latest version and to make sure your network setting are set correctly.
To verify how to update the OS and/or verify the network settings you can check out our interactive phone guide for the Samsung S6.
If the phone is not showing any details you may need to contact the original carrier to get it unlocked.
