To my surprise on my latest bill there was a long distance charge. Upon looking what it was there was a call made to a random US number I did not recognize. Looking through my phone logs I found my phone had apparently called this number twice on 2 different days for a total of 2 seconds. I still do not recognize this number, google does not recognize this number, and I am at a loss. I am 100% certain I did not call this number. And I am a little disappointed I was charged when the "call" was 2 seconds....shouldn't that register as nothing anyways? Is there some new scam that people can insert calls into your log now or something?

Hey there @Jopal,
Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.
A call will be logged the moment it's connected to the network. As your phone logs reflect and align with your billed calls, this would indicate that the phone call is legitimate.

Thanks for the response, I understand this, but as I stated, I am 100% certain that I did NOT dial this number, even by accident. No-one else has access to my phone, I don't know anyone, any company, any thing even related to the area code this number shows. This is why I am confused lol I will continue to keep an eye on my logs to see if more mysterious numbers keep popping up.
