I want to buy the new Pixel Watch 2 LTE version. What I would like is if someone calls my virgin cell phone, that it also rings my pixel watch. But when I just went to purchase the pixel watch it asks me if I would like a 'New phone number', or 'Bring your current number to Virgin Plus'.
Do I need a new phone number? I thought my current cell number would just be added to the device, so each my cell phone and pixel watch ring at the same time if someone calls my phone number. If I get a new number for the pixel watch, I don't want to tell me to call me on my watch if I don't have my phone on me. I thought my phone and watch would act as one number.
Can someone clarify this for me, and what my options are?
Thank you.

Hi there, @yayo-enthusiast. Thank you for following up.
You can check out the page for Setting up a smartwatch plan with numbershare on your Google smartwatch on our website for details and step-by-step instructions on how to set up your new smartwatch on your account.
As for your original question, all devices connected to the Virgin Plus network require a phone number assigned to them, even if they're not actively using it - this includes smart watches. Through the NumberShare plan you'll get upon activation, it will effectively share your phone's number as you describe and you won't need to provide the mobile number specific to your watch.
To review our Smatwatches lineup, check out Smartwatches on virgin plus.ca.

I see the walkthrough on how to setup NumberShare for the Samsung and Apple watches, but does this feature exists for the pixel watch 2?
Really hoping it does.

I am considering purchasing an Apple Watch as a gift. Do I have to have the device assigned its own phone number in order to pay it through sweet pay? Or am I able to simply get the watch and pair it to one of my existing lines in other words no dedicated phone line for the watch itself?
what I’d like to do is get a watch that can be connected to one of my current devices and pay for that watch using sweet pay over a 24 month. Period
