Hi! So I've decided to change phone provider to transfer my cellphone to a "landline" because my employer provide me with a free cellphone (yea I'll miss you too :p) I'm keeping home internet with virgin.
Thing is that this new provider doesn't tell me when he's going to make the switch and Virgin sends me a text message immediately after the request asking me to confirm withing 90 minutes or the request is denied. Last time I received the request in the middle of the night so of course I couldn't reply. Also the cellphone connection is spotty where I live.
New phone provider say ask Virgin. Virgin says ask new phone provider.
Is there anything I can do to make this easier?
I've already passed two hour on the phone to no avail.
Can Virgin call me instead of sending a text message?
Guys I need your help please! Cause I don't know what to do apart from waking up every hour to see if Virgin sent me a text message..

Hey there @Max_Power ,
Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.
As Virgin Plus is on the receiving end of the authorization SMS, we do not have any control on when the new provider is initiating the port requests. In the instance that the SMS is delayed due to being in a low coverage area, we would suggest getting in touch with the new provider when you're in a covered area to initiate the process.
