I have closed my account and I have a credit balance. My question is does this money go back into my credit card which was pre authorized payments?

Hey there @veradomazetis,
Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.
We're sad to learn that you've left us and we will miss you. Once an account is closed, if a refund is to be completed, our systems will verify the last payment method used on file. If the last payment was made via credit card, the refund will be applied to the credit card in question and all other payment methods would be a cheque in the mail.

I switched providers and received a final bill from Virgin Plus. I decided to manually pay the final bill amount. However, I didn't know the system is set up in a way where it will go through with the pre-authorized payment for the Final Bill. Now I have a CR amount on my account. Is there any way to avoid 20 business days for a refund? This is a waste of my time and energy.

My question is this: I have cancelled my home internet as we moved and internet is included. I have a mobility (cell) account stilll. There is a credit on my home internet bill - what happens to this credit? It was not applied to my cell bill and I have not recieved an etransfer notice or notice of refund cheque. Thoughts? The chat feature does not cover this scenairo.

I have a credit on my previous account as I tried out another provider that proved to be a big mistake...I rejoined a few days ago but I inadvertently took the credit on my previous account to be a bill so I paid the amount again $78.40 now that is owed back to me ...I'm sorry for the mix up .. how do I get this sorted ? Can my now bill be credited with the money or can you send me a cheque for the balance .

I've transferred my number to Bell Alliant and paid the earlier bill. Usually a month's charges are taken in advance and I wanted that money back to my account or being transferred to Bell Alliant.
This amount is still not being reflected in the account and what are the ways to get the amount back?

I have closed one of my accounts and I have a credit balance. I know the money is supposed to go back into my credit card which was pre authorized payments, however, the problem is the pre-authorized credit card was canceled too, can I get my money back though a cheque from you?

Hi, I have overpaid my last bill on my phone plan with Virgin before changing to another phone service provider. This credit will not be useful to me for the next bills since I won't have any. How can I get refunded?

I had set up pre-authorized payment from my bank account. Due to system error, extra 61.4$ was taken out of my bank account. I later left Canada for good and cancelled the service. I was told that the refund would go back to my bank account. However, according to the online chat agent, the refund is via cheque to my old address that I know no one. The agent said if they refund it via cheque again, it will take another 75 days.
It is so time-consuming and lots of efforts to get back the money which should not have been taken in the first place. I am really frustrated and would like the refund back to my bank account. Please assist. Thank you

What if I closed my account after switching to a different telecom under the same parent company as Virgin Active? How can I get my money back, and what will happen to my credit balance?

I cancelled my plan last month about half a week in advance and switched from Virgin Plus to another provider and got a refund of 6.93, the problem is it was refunded to my bill balance, how can I ask them to refund it to my bank card?
