Ive travelled from Calgary where I reside to Victoria on Vancouver Island. Upon arrival I received a message welcoming me to the US??
I am NOT in the US! Am I being charged roaming fees?

Hi there, everyone.
There's an important distinction to be made here, as whether or not you're roaming is not exclusively determined by where you're physically at any given moment. It's determined by which cellular service tower your phone is currently pinging off of. Depending on your proximity to the US border, this can at times result in you connecting to a US tower incidentally. The best means to prevent this from happening is to disable roaming through your device settings.
