I have Global and CTV with Virgin TV but can not access the apps because Virgin does not show as a service provider. I have contacted Global regarding this and was advised that Virgin needs to sign up for this free service. When will Virgin be signing up? (Part of my reason for chosing Virgin TV was based on having access to these apps, even streaming Global shows thru Virgin TV, there are ads to access the app. VERY FRUSTRATING!)

We are investigating the issue preventing the service provider logins and will update this thread as soon as we can.
UPDATE: Any lingering issues some may have been experiencing when attempting to log in to certain apps have been resolved.
If you are still experiencing any issues, please let us know.

UPDATE
As of July 2022 Virgin Plus customers should be able to login to Global TV, CTV and TSN using their Virgin Plus TV credentials.

Planning on a Super Bowl experience on CTV via my firestick I have just found out CTV does not recognize Virgin Mobile as a service provider. What gives? There are service providers local and with few customers but they are listed. Makes me think perhaps I should be looking around.

SportsNet, TSN, CTV, Global offers free access to their streaming apps to users with tv subscriptions. They require credentials from your service provider but virgin doesn’t appear on their lists, why not??
Global said that Virgin needs to sign up for this free service. When will Virgin be signing up? I would like to know an actual timeline. It has been over a year and it’s VERY FRUSTRATING and makes me want to cancel virgin tv.

STILL WAITING.........TIRED OF SEEING GLOBAL AND CTV COMMERCIALS TO DOWNLOAD THE APPS!

I will be cancelling my subscription if you don’t answer why virgin plus won’t sign up for access to online apps, CTV, tsn, sportsnet, it’s all free what’s going on!

Hello. This reply was a long time ago. Can we get an update or more information please?
The people who posted here are not alone with this issue. i have been watching and waiting for "ongoing discussions" to become resolutions.
Problem exists with Roku and Fire devices (in my case). Likely others as well.
We are all supposed to be doing our bit to save the planet. The Virgin app requires an additional CPU be turned on (phone, computer,,,). Can't just turn on the TV and watch without another CPU.

Hi,
I was able to connect to Crave, TSN and Sportsnet on their apps. However, I'm not able to connect to Global, CTV nor CityTV. Virgin Plus appears on the list, but when I click to activate these apps and put on my credentials, they simply do not work.
I have called Virgin twice this week and both times, the TV technician said there is nothing they can do.
The Virgin Plus TV app has a terrible interface and the native channel apps offer much more content. Please let me know if the credentials problems are solved on Global, CTV and CityTV.

It takes your credentials and kick you back to the log in page. No messages of any kind

The problem is the same for me. I log in on Virgin Plus as a service provider but cannot go any further. I get an error message

Thank you for your reply. On CTV, it shows the error that G3438 just reported. For Global, which is the one I really want, it just keeps authenticating, but nothing happens. I was able to log into TSN, Sportsnet, Crave and CityTv. Hopefully you and your team can figure out what is going out with the Global App.

This is definitely still an issue. I've been trying to get the activation to work for months and get the same message as @G3438 after signing into Virgin - There was a problem with your provider, please try again. Please help!
