For the past few months, the number of spam calls I've received has jumped dramatically. I often get called multiple times a day. Sometimes I get voicemails with automated messages in languages I dont understand. No matter how many numbers I block, new ones pop up. I'm at the point where I ignore most incoming calls, and it has impacted me when real government agencies were actually trying to reach me and I assumed they were phishing scams. Has anyone else had this problem, and how can I fix it?

I blocked calls and reported them as spam but there calls still come through why?

Since I transferred some cell numbers from another provider to my account, them spam calls and texts have increased exponentially. One cell in particular gets more than 15+ calls a day. We are on the national do not call list. A different number calls every time (never the same one), we block and report it. It’s not auto generated, there is a real person trying to ‘verify’ us. Calls from, Amazon, CRA, bitcoin etc… Changing our phone number is not an option. I’m almost to a point to go back to the previous provider as I feel that this is just getting worse. I called 611 many times with no help, was given virgin plus.ca/marketingpreferences (does not work), used live chat and was told I would be emailed instructions to find it in the setting on the app, did not receive it. And went through the whole app and could not find anything!! Very frustrated!
