Calls dropping

My daughter's cell phone (under my account) has started to drop after about 10 seconds of conversation, she is at school in Sackville New Brunswick.    FaceTime with Data works fine.  It is the cell.  Any ideas?

As the Community is a peer to peer assistance channel, it would be hard to determine the cause of the issue.

Below are a few things to verify and try;

  • Is the issue only happening when she is at school?
  • Have you verified to ensure her network settings are correct in the phone settings? 
  • Have you tried to simply restart the phone?
  • Is the phone updated to it's latest version?
  • Have you got in touch with our technical support team to verify your concern and open a ticket is needed?

Hi, I've been having this problem recently.

Whenever im calling someone, the call always drops half way through.

I dont know why ive been having this issue but it has started around 1-2 months ago.

I have been experiencing issues where my calls drop after a certain amount of time every call. I have called virgin, looked up information on my phone model. Online it says providers set a call limit per call,  virgin says it does not. It's frustrating to have this happen every single call. I don't know where in settings to find some way to turn this feature off. My phone is a Samsung s21 FE. 

When I called virgin the worker also gave me a suggestion to try and told me to reboot my phone and she would return my call. She didn't return my call and it didn't fix the problem.

It would be nice to talk and not have this constantly happening. And I know it's a time limit because it occurs at the exact same minute in the calls.

I live Moncton, NB. Northwest. I get ONE bar of coverage in my Kitchen. Neighbor down the Road same thing. Any body else experiencing bad coverage?

Dropping all my calls from work! Annoying! When I contacted Virgin they said they would submit a ticket. Never fixed it.

 

I live in Rollingdam New Brunswick and should have LTE coverage but can not get cell service. I am using a Samsung Galaxy A50.  I have tried everything to get service an have roam around on my property to get a signal.  Any suggestions?  My area is suppose to have LTE service as well as 4G.
