If your close to your contract end date or if you gotten a new phone with a contract.
Then you need to keep in mind the end date. They will not call msg or email you that it’s up and you’ll still end up paying for the phone and old contract.

Hey there @Danton ,

Welcome to the Community.

Yes that's correct, if you were/are on an grandfathered Silver/Gold/Platinum or Diamond plan, once the agreement is completed, as indicated as a bill notification 30 to 90 calendar days prior the ending of your agreement, it will stay as is until you make a change.

Hi @Shadowcat

After 24 months, the monthly device payment drops off and you only pay for the monthly rate plan along with any other services, plus tax.

I subscribed a 24 months plan 26 months ago, part of it was to pay for the telephone i got, and now it should be done, didn't miss a payment, but the price charged is still the same, if virgin tries to charge me the same amount again and doesn't reimburse the excess that i paid, i will go find another company for my phone services.

Great Question, the contract in my case stated the specific date the payment for the device completed and balance would become zero.  I assumed that meant the monthly payments ended, however that was not the case, the payments continued indefinitely and are claimed to be for the service thereafter.  So it appears as though you may need to cancel or renegotiate your contract, don’t let it roll over as I did.  The account statement “You have fully paid for your device …” does not equate to a reduced invoice, at least in my case.

Hey there @Aerohead

Welcome to the Community.

It sounds like you were under the old agreements to which the monthly plan and device monthly payments were not separate on the bill like the new agreements are.

Why am I still being charged for my iPhone 12 that was received back in July of 2021?  There was a 2-year commitment to pay off the phone provided to my wife and me.  Should the extra charges not have come to an end by now?

Is the payment for phone removed from bill after the 24 month sweet pay plan is finished?
