Hi, just wondering what the situation is with the 'bonus 1000 Long Distance minutes" add-on.
have been a VirginPlus subscriber for many years, and would like to upgrade phone, and also a new plan.
Could someone let me know how to add this 1000 long distance minutes add-on to the new plan, as I don't see it listed in the plan options.
thanks

Hey there @inspectormonkfish,
Welcome to the community and thanks for your post.
The 1000 Bonus International Long Distance Minutes To Select Countries is a conditional add-on currently offered only on our 4G/LTE plans (not eligible on data only plan or 3G Speed plans) when the hardware upgrade is being processed (not eligible to be added after hardware upgrade is completed). Only the representative that is assisting you complete the hardware upgrade would be able to confirm if the offer is still available or expired.
With this being said, if you're looking to simply process a rate plan change via My Account, the feature may not be transferable to the new plan selection. You may be advised via a pop up that the feature will fall off and/or if the feature does not appear in the new plan description, this means that it is not compatible with the new plan.
Let the community know if you have more questions.

Thanks for the info, but does that mean that the offer is still applicable with regards a new hardware upgrade - i.e. a new phone.
Presumably when you state that it is a "conditional add-on currently offered only on our 4G/LTE plans", then that would be the case.
Shall have to see what the representative has to say.
thanks.

Hi all - I have two lines on a shared/family plan with a grandfathered 1000 bonus long-distance minutes on both lines (don't think that option is available any more on new plans).
I am interested in changing the plan for one of the two lines to a new one that includes 5GB data and US/Canada coverage. I understand of course that when I change that line's phone plan, I might need to give up the 1,000 bonus LD minutes on that particular line.
But would any changes to that line also impact the grandfathered options (including the 1,000 LD mins) on the second line that ISN'T changing?
Thanks in advance for all your help!

I currently have add-ons including "1,000 mins long distance" under my account. I am planning to switch to another plan which is currently on offer using mobile app. I would like to know if my current add-ons will stay after I switch the plan.
