attempted to add my new case to my existing account, My existing account does not allow any mobile activations to be added.
How would I go about adding a new case to my existing account?

Welcome to the community and thanks for your post.
Depending on your account state and other factors, you may need to keep both services separated. If it is the case, that would explain why you are receiving the error when attempting to combine the services.
You do on the other hand have the ability to link them both on the same My Account profile, check out where can i find my internet bill to learn more.
