Hey there Community members.

We wanted to take a second and show you where pricing change notifications can be found on your bills.

All notifications are provided on the bills 30 to 90 calendar days prior their effectiveness, these details can be found in our Virgin Plus Terms Of ServiceOpens in a new tab or window under Changes To Your Agreement on point number 52.

First thing is to log in to MyAccountOpens in a new tab or window and click on See current bill (as shown on below image).

Or you can select our quick link option to View your billOpens in a new tab or window

On the next page you will see the option to download a PDF version of the invoice (Please do so on your previous bills inside of the 30 to 90 calendar days notification period to locate the notice).

Once on the PDF version of your bill you can navigate the different pages to see various notifications or change notices.

Pricing changes are normally found under the section Total current charges (as shown on below image).

*number of pages as shown on image will differ depending on how many services you have on your account.

We appreciate your participation on the Virgin Plus Community Forum.☺

I am wondering the same thing. My phone bill increased by $6 this month. I contacted customer service yesterday but no response yet.

Why did my monthly charges go up $6.50???

Why is this buried in our bills rather than being communicated to us clearly by email?

Yes, its buried on page #3 of your December invoice. $6.00 per month, I called them yesterday and they gave me a one month $6 credit. I guess that was supposed to make me feel better??

Shady practices, evidently. I only switched to Virgin because of the deal I initially received. Now pricing increases 9 months later and I lose features: The Voicemail-to-Text feature has been removed and costs $6 now. Bye, Virgin.

Hi,

As the title says, I had 3 months last year where my bill was more than usual. I hadn’t upgraded my plan, didn’t have any outstanding balance, and none of the bills had any notes regarding any increase. After the 3rd bill, I decided to upgrade my internet plan because it would have been cheaper, and supposedly faster speeds. At which point, once the upgrade, my bill went back down to the original plan amount before the random increase.

I'm still trying to figure out why it happened, and see if there’s any potential compensation if there was an error within the billing department.

The 3 months in question are for June, July, and August of last year.

Currently I have put my account on suspension while testing out another provider, to see if their service speeds are better or the same as Virgins.

Yeah, my bill just increased for no reason too. No additional usage, no notification from Virgin. Was hoping someone might have an idea what's going on.

recently noticed that my monthly bill has increased, even though I did not receive any prior notification of a price change

I have checked my usage, and there are no extra charges or overages.

Is there any way to restore my previous plan pricing?

That one unfortunately they snuck in for everyone. It’s on the 3rd page of 1 or 2 bills ago. It seems though that other providers have done the same with an increase, but the other provider I’m with for my cell made it easier to notice a couple bills ago 🤔

This month's bill is $5.00 higher than it has ever been and I did not receive any notification of a plan increase in cost.   It was not for over usage.  The monthly service amount is $5.00 higher.

Why am I paying more this month? I don't recall having been notified of any increase.

Because in Canada there is no real competition. They hook you with cheap plans ($29) then slowly increase the prices (now $42) for slow LTE speeds and hammer you with a $20 fee if you go over your data!

My monthly bill increased $6. With no notice from Virgin.

Why was there no notification? CRTC requires that adequate notification be provided.

You send near daily offers via SMS, email and through the apps about devices to upgrade, new plans, new opportunities to purchase, but Virgin CANNOT manage to send a basic communication about the price increase. Do better.

Your chat agent was useless.
