The network name (SSID) is used to identify (or name) your Wi-Fi network. This is the name you'll see in the list of available Wi-Fi networks. When you've selected the name of your Wi-Fi network, you'll need to enter a password.

A default network name and password are on a sticker on Valérie’s or Steve's back, but you can change both whenever you want.

Heads Up! Once you change your network name or password, you'll need to reconnect your devices using your new password and network name.

Configuring your Wi-Fi network name on your Valérie modem

First, you’ll need to log into Valérie’s interface.

  1. Open a new browser tab.
  2. Type Opens in a new tab or window or 192.168.2.1 into your web address bar and then press Enter on your keyboard.
  3. Click MANAGE MY WI-FI.
  4. If prompted, enter your administrator password. Unless you’ve changed it, the default password is “admin”. Click Log in.
  5. Ensure your Primary Wi-Fi network is turned ON.
  6. If you want, you can change your Primary Wi-Fi network name and password to something fun or easier to remember.
  7. Click on Save.

  8. Click on Save.
