Motorola G Stylus compatibility with Virgin Plus

I just bought a Motorola g stylus - but I was unable to verify this phone compatibility with Virgin Plus network.  When I entered the IMEI, it gives me a message "We hate to say it, but we can't tell right now if your phone will work on the Virgin Plus network. This IMEI number doesn't match up with anything we've got there".  What does this mean?  Anyone has any ideas?  Should I return the phone?

In order for the Community to help with your question, are you able to share where you purchased your Motorola G Stylus and which region it is programed/set up for ( EX. North America, Japan, Europe,etc.)?
