New installation wired or fiber?

Hello, I have just taken out a 30 Mbps internet subscription, with the installation included. the technician came to do the installation.
He tried to use the former tenant's connection, which was copper, but ended up not working. he then drilled the wall to bring in a cable but I see that it is copper because the cable entering my house is Cat 5E. he confirmed to me that there is fiber in the neighborhood. But he is installing copper in the house, finally he couldn't finish the installation and left, so I have to make another appointment to finish the installation. Should I require him to install fiber at home.

Knowing that copper is disappearing, I don't want anyone to ask me to upgrade to fiber in a few months.

The commercial during the subscription made it clear to me that I was eligible for fiber

As the Community is a peer to peer assistance channel, we wouldn't have the ability to confirm the type of service that is eligible in your neighborhood. We can confirm that normally a 30Mbps connection is provided via a copper connection. 

It is possible that a full fiber connection isn't available in your neighborhood.

i just check the speed, it is said for my adresss i can go up to 100 Mbps.
