How do i remove voicemail from my account entirely?

Found the solution. I did it through the chat function and the person removed it. Took one chat session, I was shocked! I tried to get mine removed when I was with Telus, called them 10 times and they still didnt remove it which is what prompted me to switch to Virgin.

I can't figure out why this is? Like why do telecoms make voicemail the default only to make it so difficult to remove? Is it the data mining component, in that they can listen in on the voicemails left behind? Gotta be a reason for this madness.....

Hello! I would also like to opt out of voicemail. I previously opted out when they sent a text about voicemails. However, recently, I got opted in without my consent.

I do NOT like voicemail on my phone! Even when you do not set it up it has messages. I want it disabled.

I would like my voicemail disabled/removed for the same reasons. Getting spam.

I don't get my voice mails, so I don't want people who mail me thinking I got their messages.
