I just made a payment yesterday with my client ID on my banking website (Simplii). It shows as processed on the bank site but is still not paid on Virgin. Is this just a delay or did it not go through (weirdly the bill transaction doesn't even show on my phone app but it does on my laptop).

It is very likely just a processing delay. Payments made through your bank's website are not instant, you should expect 2 to 5 business days for online banking payments to be received and recorded on your account. In some cases, it can take up to 3 to 10 business days for the bank to complete its part of the transfer.

Why you’re seeing discrepancies

  • Bank vs. Virgin Plus Status: "Processed" on Simplii Financial simply means the bank has successfully sent the funds out.
  • App vs. Laptop: It is common for the Virgin Plus My Account app and web portals to have syncing delays. Since you see it on your laptop, the bank has definitely logged the transaction.

What you should do

  • Wait at least 3 business days: Most payments from Simplii to payees usually settle within this window.
  • Verify the Account Number: Double-check that the "client ID" you used as the account number for the payee at Simplii matches your 14-digit Virgin Plus account number exactly.
  • App Refresh: If the app is still not showing the transaction, try logging out and back in, or clearing your mobile cache.
