Hello,
For some reason, I can send a text message to one of my friends, but when he response the message says it is sent, but I don't receive it. I did notice his phone number was blocked, but I unblocked it.I have an LG phone
Things I tried
Reinstalled message - the one that came with the phone
Deleted contact - added contact.
Cleared cache
Rebooted phone a few times.
Check every setting and can't find anything.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I checked those setting and nothing blocked. I noticed the number was blocked, and I unblocked it. The thing I did was deleted the entry in the contract app. Went back to the text message app and added the number as a new contact with a new name. It seems to be working now. Strange.
Thanks for the reply.
I.

Hey there @Arden Pritchard ,
Welcome to the community and thanks for reaching out.
Your phone might not be receiving messages due to various different reasons and we're here to help as best as we can.
Quick Fixes to Try First
- Restart your phone: Turn your device completely off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on to refresh the system.
- Toggle Airplane Mode: Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then turn it off to reset your cellular connection.
- Check signal strength: Make sure you have active cellular bars or Wi-Fi connection.
- Check Spam and Blocked lists: Open your messaging app menu, go to Spam & blocked, and check if the messages were filtered by mistake.
Advanced Troubleshooting
- Reset network settings: Go to your phone's settings, locate the system reset options, and select Reset mobile network or network settings.
- Deregister iMessage (If switching from iPhone): If you recently moved from an iPhone to an Android device, your texts may still be routing to iMessage.
- Check storage space: Ensure your phone is not completely out of internal storage.
- Check phone compatibility: Refer to support guide Virgin Plus IMEI Support to ensure your device is compatible with the network.
- Check SIM card: Make sure your physical SIM card or eSIM is active and properly seated. Refer to support guides like Google Messages Help or Apple Support for specific device instructions.
Give those a try and keep the community updated with the results.

Tough one, i would check the following.
Open settings ==> Network & Internet ==> Call ==> call blocking & decline with message ==> blocked numbers
Do you see the number listed?
