Valerie modem suddenly blocking the audio of my voip phone. I'm using the exact same setting for almost 3 years, never an issue until now. Port forwarding was setup since day 1. Already reboot the modem multiple times. Still no audio. SIP-ALG is always off. Any idea what else I can do?

Thanks for the detailed response. Unfortunately, power-cycling several times for 2- 15 minutes didn't fix my no audio issue. I hope your solution works for other people!
My only option now is to change my ISP. Sad to have to leave Virgin Plus, but they're not offering any tech support.

Since yesterday, I cannot use my VoIP service anymore.
I rebooted the modem a couple of times (waited 20 minutes), without success. Could something have been changed on the Virgin Plus network?
SIP ALG is turned off in the settings. Sometimes I work from home and this is blocking me ..

I am facing the same problem, and i don't know how long this has been happening for.
VOIP was working for years with Virgin, and previous provider. it seems that since Virgin moved to the CGNAT this has broken.
Using the same VOIP hardware on a different internet connection (eg, hotspot from phone) proves the VOIP hardware is not at fault.
What is VIRGIN going to do to fix this? I have had numerous tech support calls with Virgin/Bell and they all tell me that there should not be anything in their network that prevents this. I assume that i've just been talking to people who have no idea whats actually happening technically under all the layers.

Keep unplugging the power to the modem and waiting 5 minutes before replugging the modem. It eventually worked after doing that. Virgin support won't do anything but if you're patient and keep trying, it will eventually work again. So far it hasn't happened again to me but others have reported it will stop working after several weeks or months. If you don't want to risk this happening again in the future, I suggest changing your ISP.

Powe-cycling and hoping it works is not a solution.
I got it working by putting the VoIP box behind another router that has VPN always on.
other than this issue, I have not had problem with virgin

I'm experiencing an ongoing connection issue with my work IP phone (Nortel i2002) while using Virgin Plus internet with a Valérie modem.
The phone sometimes connects successfully to my company's phone server, but after a while, it loses the connection and displays "Server Unreachable." Other times, it shows the error immediately and won't connect at all.
- Modem: Valérie
- Phone: Nortel i2002
- Server port: Company phone server (port 7000)
What I've tried so far:
- Connected the phone through my Windows laptop using Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).
- Connected the phone directly to the Virgin modem using an Ethernet cable.
- Tried a replacement IP phone.
- Checked the modem's admin settings for NAT and firewall options.
- Contacted Virgin Plus technical support, but no device-blocking rules were identified.
- SIP ALG is disabled
Unfortunately, the issue persists even when the phone is connected directly to the modem. My regular internet connection works fine, and the issue seems to affect only the IP phone.
Has anyone experienced similar issues with Nortel IP Phones or other business VoIP systems? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
