my daughter on my plan has the Global 365 plan and is currently in Peru. When she tries to call Canada she gets a recording in Spanish and it hangs up.
Maybe she is missing something entering the number…..how does she call home from Peru to Canada?

Hey there @Memamma ,
Welcome to the community and thanks for your post.
To call Canada from Peru using your Virgin Plus Global 365 plan, you will need to follow specific dialing instructions.
Dialing Instructions:
- Exit Code: Dial 00 first to indicate an international call. Alternatively, on most mobile phones, you can hold the 0 key to bring up a + symbol, which serves the same purpose.
- Canada Country Code: Dial 1 after the exit code. This is the country code for Canada.
- Area Code: Enter the 3-digit area code for the region in Canada you wish to call.
- Local Number: Dial the 7-digit local phone number.
The complete dialing format will look like this:
- From a mobile using the exit code: 00 1 [Area Code] [Local Number]
- From a mobile phone using the + symbol: +1 [Area Code] [Local Number]
For example, to call a Toronto number, you would dial 00 1 416 555 1234 or +1 416 555 1234.
Another thing to look at is the phones network selection settings as it is set to automatic by default and usually connects your device to the strongest available network. However, issues can sometimes arise while roaming.
Troubleshooting steps include: making sure Roaming is turned on in settings, restarting your device, toggling airplane mode on and off, or checking your device's network selection settings and change the setting from automatic to manual and test the connections separately until it connects to a stable one.
