Changing number of rings before voicemail picks up?

Hi, does anyone know if/how we can decrease the number of rings?   My new phone is currently at 6 rings, and I would prefer it to be at 3.

You can easily decrease the number of rings before your voicemail picks up by following the steps below:

  • Dial *61*voicemail-access-number*11*time# to change how long your phone rings before voicemail answers.
  • Voicemail Access Number: 6473832333 (this is the same voicemail number for all Virgin Plus Members).
  • Time: choose the number of seconds (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30) before the call forwards to voicemail.
  • Press SEND, then a confirmation or status message will appear on your screen.

Example: To set your Virgin Plus ring time to 20 seconds before voicemail is triggered:

Dial *61*6473832333*11*20# and press Send.

The standard ring cycle varies by phone model, but typically each ring lasts about 6 seconds. For example: 1 ring = approximately 6 seconds, 2 rings = 12 seconds, 3 rings = 18 seconds.

I used code 05 instead of 20. The system pretended not being able to connect to the phone number.

To XB24:  Not sure what you mean by this, but it's likely that the system didn't want "05", just "5".  The number of seconds is preceded by a * and followed with a #, so it probably isn't fussy about the number of characters (which would mandate a leading zero).

Hello all, the Bell no. worked for me, not the Virgin one:

Replace 2333 by 2355
* 61 * 647 383 2355 * 11 * time #
Time: the number of seconds (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30) before the call transfers to voicemail.
