If you’re near the U.S. border, your device can sometimes automatically connect to a U.S. network as if you are roaming. If this happens, you’ll receive a welcome message and any usage will be billed as roaming.
To avoid accidental roaming charges when close to the U.S. border, turn off data roaming in your device settings or manually select Virgin Plus as your mobile network operator in your device’s network settings.
For more instructions on how to change the network, consult your user guide or the device tutorials from our smartphone support section. Just select your device from the drop-down menu to get started.
Note: If you manually select Virgin Plus as your mobile network operator, remember to switch back to automatic network selection to ensure your service will work if you do roam in the U.S. or internationally.
