SIM card not reading

All of a sudden my phone says no SIM card detected. Its been fine for 2 1/2 years. I've restarted the phone. I've removed the SIM card to make sure it wasn't damaged and it's fine. Unable to try it in another phone. Nothing wrong with the phone...
