The network name or SSID is the unique identity or the name your home Wi-Fi network that you see in the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
To set up or change your Wi-Fi network name, follow the steps below for either your Valérie or Steve modem.
Configuring your Wi-Fi network name on your Valérie modem
First, you’ll need to log into Valérie’s interface.
- Open a new browser tab.
- Type http://Valerie or 192.168.2.1 into your web address bar and then press Enter on your keyboard.
- Click MANAGE MY WI-FI.
- If prompted, enter your administrator password. Unless you’ve changed it, the default password is “admin”. Click Log in.
- Ensure your Primary Wi-Fi network is turned ON.
- If you want, you can change your Primary Wi-Fi network name and password to something fun or easier to remember.
- Click on Save.
Configuring your Wi-Fi network name on your Steve modem
First, you’ll need to log into Steve’s interface.
- Open a new browser tab.
- Type http://Steve/ or 192.168.2.1 into your web address bar and then press Enter on your keyboard.
- Enter the username and password to login.
- Click on the Wi-Fi Settings button.
- Ensure you are on the Primary tab.
- If you want, you can change your Primary Wi-Fi network name and password to something fun or easier to remember.
- Click on Save.
