City TV On Demand disappeared

I have been watching Hudson & Rex on demand and it suddenly disappeared without warning.  Is this normal?  Can anyone explain what happened and/or if I can get it back?

Hello Virgin Community,

We have had virgin TV for several months now and it's been great. The last couple of days we are unable to access my of the on demand shows on any CTV channel we're subscribed to. The only option to watch CTV shows is live. When you select a CTV show it will only show the next live option for it.

The issue seems to be affecting only the CTV channels.

TV programming is constantly evolving and sometimes available content changes.

As of February 25th, 2025 City TV Video On Demand content is no longer available.

Virgin Plus TV continues to offer a wide variety of channels from content providers with diverse interests, including exclusive Canadian shows. Rest assured, you can still watch CityTV live programing with your Virgin Plus TV subscription.

This is a terrible service. Without on demand I’m not sure it’s worth staying with Virgin Plus.

So we had all of the "Chicago" shows on our watch list and now they are gone and NBC is no longer on demand. Anyone else in the same situation?So if I can't watch the shows live how can I get them now? They aren't listed on the USA network on demand or any where else

You can watch at least some of City TV shows on demand with the City TV+ app using your Virgin Mobile credentials

How?  Virgin Mobile does not show up when I try to activate using the onscreen QR code.

Agreed.  I was just going to post the same reply, as I tried it last night.

It is odd, though, as Virgin clearly has a license for CityTV or it would not be available in the Virgin TV app so I would expect it to be a valid supplier

Well it's not working today ... I see Bell Fibe isn't there either.

Actually, you cannot.  When trying to log in using service provider, Virgin is not listed as one of the options
