Hey there @JD5now

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.

This is normal, more channels/content are available over Wi-Fi at your home with a Virgin Plus Internet connection vs. outside your home. This is due to content licensing.

To learn more, check out Virgin Plus TVOpens in a new tab or windowand once on the page click + More deets.

As detailed above in the link Content Availability and as shown on the below image, due to content licensing some channels will only be available when connected to your Wi-Fi at home.

I can’t find the “more details”. Specifically, why can I not watch ABC, NBC or CBS when off wifi, eg remote access? Just an explanation as I don’t understand why it’s part of my home package but cannot be accessed remote.

You can find the + More deets icon right under Check availability and See all channels as shown on the below image.

You can also find more information in the support article Content AvailabilityOpens in a new tab or window

The question is why I can’t see the American channels when not connected to wifi.
what is the issue with the USA channels?

Anybody know why I cannot watch TV outside of Canada? I'm paying for the service, I should be able to watch it when I travel, no?

Thanks,

Hi. I’ve just made the same discovery. It’s especially annoying because I specifically asked before enrolling whether I could use my data plan to stream the tv content when I was not at home. I was told that it would work that way. Unfortunately I didn’t know that I had to qualify the question in order to get a complete answer. It seems that this comes up pretty fast as an answer once asked. It should be answered more honestly when specifically asked

I am going to Florida in March. Can I stream Virgin TV using my Firestick while outside Canada?

I am going out of Canada for 4 months. Can I watch my Virgin Plus TV service on public WiFi?
