Accessing Global and CTV apps

I have Global and CTV with Virgin TV but can not access the apps because Virgin does not show as a service provider. I have contacted Global regarding this and was advised that Virgin needs to sign up for this free service. When will Virgin be signing up? (Part of my reason for chosing Virgin TV was based on having access to these apps, even streaming Global shows thru Virgin TV,  there are ads to access the app. VERY FRUSTRATING!)

I am still unable to link to my tv provider (virgin plus) on my CTV app. Just keep getting an error any time I try to login to virgin on the CTV app on my phone.

CTV app for iPad and CTV website (Chrome for Mac)

I am unable to login to the CityTV app as Virgin Plus is not listed as a service provider.  Does anyone know a way around this?

City TV is available on the Virgin Plus TV app (channel 203 or close to that from the Guide)

Yes, but for some reason it has not been adding new episodes to stream.

 Virgin Plus TV is a choice on the latest version of the CityTV app for the iPad at least. Scroll down / up  for all the options in the list of TV providers.

TV app: Global TV app (on android phone)

Date & Time: Oct 20, 530am

Error code or message: None. Screen says "Authenticating..." then just flips back to app with no change.

VirginPlus is not listed as a provider in the Citytv app.

Tried accessing the Citytv app via mobile but Virginplus is not listed as the provider. I do not have an iPad or tablet.

Could you possibly screenshot or share what providers you see when trying to use the CityTV app? Certain users have had issues in-thread with CityTV before, but found it to be resolved. As well, could you confirm that the app is up to date, as well as the system OS of your device - either iOS or Android.

Hi there, I am having this issue, please help me resolve this:

#1 TSN

  • Name of TV website or TV app platform: TSN (Samsung Q60c 2023 TV App)
  • Date & Time of Login attempt: Jan 3, 2024 9:41pm EST
  • Error code or message: There was a problem. An error occurred connecting with your provider, please try again.
  • Notes: Opened app on tv, went to tsn.ca/activate, clicked access through TV subscriber, logged in via Virgin Plus, received error message "There was a problem. An error occured connecting with your provider, please try again."

#2 Sportsnet

  • Name of TV website or TV app platform: Sportsnet (Samsung Q60c 2023 TV App)
  • Date & Time of Login attempt: Jan 3, 2024 9:41pm EST
  • Error code or message: "Congratulations your device is connected"... but it doesn't actually work / facilitate the login. It seems that Virgin credentials are authenticated in this case but not passed through?
  • Notes: Opened app on tv, clicked sign in with TV provider, went to watch.sportsnet.ca/tv, logged in via Virgin Plus, "Congratulations your device is connected"... but it doesnt actually work
