Accessing Global and CTV apps

I have Global and CTV with Virgin TV but can not access the apps because Virgin does not show as a service provider. I have contacted Global regarding this and was advised that Virgin needs to sign up for this free service. When will Virgin be signing up? (Part of my reason for chosing Virgin TV was based on having access to these apps, even streaming Global shows thru Virgin TV,  there are ads to access the app. VERY FRUSTRATING!)

We appreciate that you've taken the time to let us know, however we will need a few more details;

  • Which Go App are you attempting to access (CTV, Global, etc.)?
  • How are you attempting to access them; Via their website, via their app, etc.)?
  • Which device are you using while trying to access them (Laptop/Desktop, mobile, etc.)?

Sorry about that. It's the same as what everyone else has said - I'm trying sign in to the CTV app on the Firestick, using my phone to go to the CTV activate link. I select the provider (Virgin), enter my login information, and it gives me an error message ("there was a problem with your provider, please try again") then sends me back to the "select your provider" page. I have had the same issues with the Global activation.

Can you attempt to log in via their apps on your phone directly and also on their website if possible and let us know if the same error occurs.

I’m unable to sign in to the CTV app wi  try my virgin plus credentials. What is going on? What other information do I need to provide to resolve this?

Installed the app on my phone, and have the same issues as trying to sign in with the Firestick - I enter my credentials and it says there is a problem with my provider.

I was able to sign in to the CTV website with my provider credentials, but it only allows channel access to CTV Life, CTV Drama, CTV Comedy, MTV, CTV Movies and CTV Throwback, and it says to contact my provider to access CTV (regular), Discovery, Sci Fi, Animal Planet, etc. Which doesn't make any sense because those are all part of my regular channel package and should be available.

So now that's two issues - The App sign in doesn't work, and the account doesn't seem to have all the channels available.

I Can not login into CTV.  It says an error occurred connecting to your provider.  Global is fine.

Once again the TSN App does not work when you login via TV provider (Virgin Plus).  The last time I contacted both TSN and Virgin with each saying to contact the other.  Absolute gongshow.  

Does anyone have a solution to this ongoing problem?

I am not able to acces the Global TV or Crave apps using my Virgin Plus credentials. I get 'an error occured connecting with your provider'. Can you please let me know how to resolve this?

I have access to TSN, Sportsnet, Global, Citytv, CTV as part of my virgin tv package but when I go to login to those apps with my virgin tv credentials I get error messages.  I noticed back in 2022 someone else had the same problem and was told the issue was resolved and the credentials should work.  How can I log into those apps with my virgin tv credentials?

I am experiencing similar issues trying to login to the TSN and CTV apps.  After entering my virgin TV credentials it bounces back to the select TV provider page with no error message. I contacted the virgin support centre and they were of no help whatsoever.
