Accessing Global and CTV apps

I have Global and CTV with Virgin TV but can not access the apps because Virgin does not show as a service provider. I have contacted Global regarding this and was advised that Virgin needs to sign up for this free service. When will Virgin be signing up? (Part of my reason for chosing Virgin TV was based on having access to these apps, even streaming Global shows thru Virgin TV,  there are ads to access the app. VERY FRUSTRATING!)

I am having the same problem with citytv. After downloading the app I follow the steps, enter the code and scroll through the subscriber list, but Virgin+ is not there. If I try to access the app on my phone, Virgin+ is on the subscriber list. It makes no sense.

I am using a Firestik to access Virgin+ on my Samsung tv. As I said, Virgin+ is listed as a subscriber when Ioad the app on my phone, just not on my TV. Thank you

I cant log on to GlobalTV using my Virgin Plus account. Please help. I tried on my mobile and TV using the activation code. Just refreshes or loads forever

In order for the Community to best assist, some clarification will be needed; 

  • How are you accessing GlobalTV? Via a web browser or app?
  • Have you cleared your browsers cookies and cache and tried again?
  • Have you made sure your apps were updated to their latest versions?
  • Which device type are you using, Android or Apple? 
  • Are your devices OS/IOS updated to their latest versions?
  • Did any error message appear?
  • Try updating your My Account password and trying again.

Its the same problem with rds and ctv it’s like i don’t have any subscription.  And this channel are propriety of Bell like Virgin.

I still cannot access global tv app using virgin plus as subscriber.  It keeps authenticating?  Anybody can you help me out.  Using my phone to try to login

Trying to access the city tv plus app that virgin clients are supposed to have access to by logging in under your virgin account details. Each time I enter my login details I get an error message. 

Anyone else finding a glitch in accessing this service? Any solutions found?

I'm trying to sign in with an activation code, but after selecting VirginPlus and logging in to my account nothing happens. I can't get past the loading screen. 

Here are my answers to the earlier suggestions from a support agent:

  • How are you accessing GlobalTV? Via a web browser or app? I'm using a web browser to enter the activation code
  • Have you cleared your browsers cookies and cache and tried again? Yes and tried another browser too
  • Have you made sure your apps were updated to their latest versions? Yes. I've updated the app on my phone and tv
  • Which device type are you using, Android or Apple? Android
  • Did any error message appear? No, just a spinning wheel in the browser
  • Try updating your My Account password and trying again. Tried to no avail

In order for the community to best assist, some clarification is needed on what you mean by trying to sign in with an activation code. We would also like to clarify that you need to have Virgin Plus Internet and Virgin Plus TV services on your account in order to Log in via your My Account credentials.

This is still a problem,  2025 and CTV live doesn't work
