Why am I not receiving sound notification with new messages?

For some reason, I am not receiving a sound notification when I receive new text messages. I have the following settings:

Sound and Vibration: Sound On. Notification sound/ Spaceline

App notifications: Messages: Allow, Allow sound and Vibration, Locks screen badge pop-up allowed, categories all on

Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have an explanation, but I went through all the relevant settings again and now the sound notification for new messages appears to be working.
