I found that by adding Messages to Use Premium Text Message Services in Apps/Special Access, I am now able to send messages and reply to 5 and 6 digit phone codes.

Hey there @SydLau,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.

Normally short code messages can only be replied to with one word answers and are usually described in the first text that was sent to you. Are you receiving any error message or bounce back? Could you reply the word HELP to see if the system responds?

Also, check out the topic Incoming Texts/SMS From Banks BlockedOpens in a new tab or window where other Members had incoming 2FA short code issues that they were able to resolve.

Try it out and let the Community know if it worked.

I received a text from my bank from a 6 digit phone code.  I am unable to reply to the text.  When I try  to send a message, I always get an "unable to send message".  I have seen this before with the 6 digit phone codes for other senders.  I have no problem sending texts to regular 10 digit phone numbers.

I have just found out that I can send a text to a 6 digit number if I send it from a windows computer using Windows Phone Link.

Anyone have ideas why?
