Trying to switch phones and use my esim.

The app transfer tool will not recognize my EID #.

Any ideas?

In order for the community to best assist, some clarification will be needed;

  • From what type of phone to what type of phone are you trying to transfer your eSIM to?
  • Are you trying to use a grey market device (phone not acquired at Virgin Plus or not sold in Canada)?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
  • Have you got in touch with our technical support team and review your concern?

Below are a few details to keep in mind when attempting to transfer your eSIM;

  • Devices must have an operating system iOS 17.0 or above, OS version of 14.0 and One UI 6.1 or higher.
  • Quick Transfer Cross-brand eligibility (these are current examples and may change in the future):
    • Between Samsung phones: yes
    • Samsung to Motorola/Pixel phones: yes
    • Motorola/Pixel to Samsung device – Not eligible
    • Between Apple and Samsung – Not eligible

I'm trying to move my esim from S24 ultra to S25 ultra and it keeps saying my EID is invalid
