Texting to Jamaica

What do I have to add to my phone service so I can text my friend in Jamaica? Also for the text message can he listen to it? His eyesight is going and needs to listen more then reading it.

If you’ve got an unlimited worldwide text messaging plan, it’s free to send and receive texts from Canada to the rest of the world. If you’re not on an unlimited worldwide text messaging plan here are the rates.

Depending on your friends phone type they may be able to use a text-to-speech function which could allow them to listen to their text messages.
