Hello, I recently upgraded my device as it was a great offer and resulting in 0 increased costs to my plan. However, i don't want to activate the device until my current phone becomes unusable. So I essentially want to sit on the new phone until I actually need it.
I was told by online support that the device will automatically activate after 30 days if i don't do anything. Does that mean that the sim in my current device will be deactivated? if so, how do i get around this without activating the device? Or, can I temporarily activate the device with my existing sim card but then put the sim back into my old phone?
Thanks.

Hey there @Johnny5 ,
Welcome to the community and great question.
The online support were correct. If you do not manually activate your current order, it will auto activate itself after 30 days and your current SIM card will be automatically changed to the one received with the new phone (SIM/eSIM).
If you wish to revert back to your old/current SIM, you will need to get in touch with member care.

Ok great. But what about my second question? If I activate the new device with my current sim can I switch the sim back to my old phone and use my old phone. Like I said I don’t want to use it yet as my current phone is running fine at the moment.

Good morning, @Johnny5.
Yes, you can plug your SIM into effectively any phone of your choosing, including your old phone.
