I've had my phone for years and it has worked great. All of a sudden a few days ago I noticed a notification that said 'No SIM card.' I've taken the phone apart, to make sure the SIM card is still there, as I have dropped the phone a few times, and it has come apart. I have even taken the SIM card out to reset it. Everything is good. I've tried turning off and on the phone. I still have the notification. Help!!!

Hi @Kali,
Thanks for you post.
The Community will need to have more information in order to help; you mentioned taking the phone apart. Do you mean only taking the SIM card tray out or do you mean you removed any internal components?
The message "No SIM card" is usually caused when the gold plate on the SIM card cannot connect with the contact pins in the device.

Are you able to test the SIM card in another device to confirm if you see the same issue. If the SIM works without issue, your device may be the issue. What kind of device are you using?
If the SIM card does not work in another device, I would suggesting getting a new SIM card

Hi there, @Jbwalnuts. Welcome to the Community.
Could you please clarify as to the issue at hand? Are you saying you've had no service or connection to your SIM for the last 16 months?
Otherwise, could you please remove and re-insert your SIM card tray and make sure that your SIM card is positioned correctly in the tray before popping it back in, as well as restarting your phone?
Looking forward to hearing back from you.

All of a sudden my phone says no SIM card detected. Its been fine for 2 1/2 years. I've restarted the phone. I've removed the SIM card to make sure it wasn't damaged and it's fine. Unable to try it in another phone. Nothing wrong with the phone physically. Been working fine up until recently. Phone froze screen went black took 4 days for it to turn on again.
