Hi there, @SBT. Welcome to the Virgin Plus Community, and thanks for your post.

As mentioned prior for other users, you may have inserted your old SIM card instead of your new one. When you activate your upgraded device, your old SIM card is automatically deactivated. Could you confirm that you're using the correct SIM card, please?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

I purchased a new phone the other day put my old Sim card in and set it up I then activated it but I can't text or use data and in the top left it says unregistered Sim. It's the same Sim I had in my old phone and it worked in that fine.

I would try the sim that came with the new phone if you received one from Virgin.

Put the Sim back in the old phone to test if you didn't get a Sim from Virgin.

If the Sim works in the old phone, the new phone may be playing a part.

When you get a new phone you also get a new SIM card. You will need to activate it via MyAccount and then put it in your phone.

All of my services are currently working, but my plan has yet to update.

@Niki

Sounds like you may have inserted your old SIM card in the device, instead of activating and inserting your new SIM card.
If this is not the case please let us know here.

We put the new sim card in. We took it to a virgin kiosk cause no matter what we tried it wasn't working. Turns out I was sent a blacklisted phone and it took me 10 different phone transfers and 2 hours to get the phone turned on cause every person I was transferred to had no idea how to fix it but eventually it got figured out
