Messaging Multiple Receivers

A friend has a Samsung newer model cell phone with a Virgin Plus plan.
For whatever reason she can't message more than 10 people simultaneously having them respond on the same thread even though on a Freedom Mobile plan she was able to do it.
Any idea what the problem might be as the local Virgin dealer wasn't of any help and I can't hardly imagine there isn't a way to resolve this issue.
Any ideas please?

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post. 

We've increased our group messaging capacity to 20 recipients in February 2023. 

As the account belongs to your friend it would be hard to determine the cause or even if the issue is coming from your friends account or one of the recipients accounts. 

To have a better understanding, please clarify the following;

• How many recipients are in the group chat?
• Has your friend tried to start a new group chat with only 20 recipient?
• What error or failed message is your friend receiving?
• Has your friend tried to reset the network settings in their phone?
• What troubleshooting steps have they tried so far?
