My work emails alerts on the weekend but I do not have access to work email outside of work. Previously they would text my (old) phone via emailing my#@mms.rogers.com. Does Virgin offer this service and if so what address can I give my employer so I continue to get these important alerts?

We've got you covered. Use your phone number followed by @vtext.ca (phone#@vtext.ca). Note that emails to texts have their limitations (number of characters plus email size). We take no responsibility for the amount of emails you’ll be getting from work on the weekends though 🙂
Hope this helps!

Hi, It didn't help. We tried from a couple of different emails and with short charaters (example, Header: Boo! Text: Did this one work?) and it was undeliverable. Does it matter that it comes from an American domain? It is an American based company operating in Canada.

It should not, have you tried sending an email from a personal email ? Let's say Gmail or Hotmail to see if it works.

I know how to send a text message to my phone from email. I send an email to "1234567890@vmobile.ca" and it goes to my phone. If I try to send an email with either an attachment or a photo inside the body of the message, I only get the text content with a notification that there should be an image in the message.
The US allows you to use "1234567890@vmpix.com" to send pictures via MMS.
Does Canada have a similar service? I cannot find it via Google and support chat did not help, but I know that someone out there might have the knowhow. Here's hoping.
PS. I know that it should be doable via Whatsapp or something similar, but I am trying to do it as a simple text message with a picture.
