I keep getting spam texts every now and then about a supposed "price" that I won. It's very obvious that it's malware. I keep blocking and deleting those numbers but they are still coming in. Is there a way to filter those texts out? Some sites suggest that I reply with a "STOP" or "UNSUBSCRIBE" but I'm skeptical about replying to those texts and I don't know if it's safe.
I have a Galaxy S10 but there doesn't seem to be an option on the message app itself.

Hey there 🙂 Been noticing a HUGE increase in spammy/phishing texts lately. I have an iPhone and for iMessages, “Report as Junk” pops up and is very handy, but it doesn’t help at all for “green” text messages. Apple’s site says to get in touch with my provider, so I’m here for some advice! Any way to report these suspicious texts to Virgin? Or is blocking those texters my only defence? Thanks 🙂

Have been getting a ton of text messages recently that are obvious spam or scam attempts and calls from unknown numbers that never have a human behind them (always recordings or voicemail in different languages). This is a bit strange since I don't give my phone # out often yet I have been getting an increasing amount of these texts/calls. What is Virgin Plus doing to stop this problem? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Welcome to the big three not caring enough to investigate these call spoofing scammers. It doesn't cost Bell, Telus, or Rogers anything so get used to dealing with it so you can actually communicate with others. Recently these scammers are using numbers that are in use as opposed to unassigned numbers like before. I always called the number and got the 'not in service' message. Just recently I have been receiving calls from numbers that have the same first three digits as my number and when I call it there is a person who owns it who didn't call me. If this was costing the big three money you know they would be on it but......
