Virgin Plus Account Number marked tentative

The My Account app does not recognize my account number and so unable to link it to My Account. Consequently, the TV app will not work because it says "no account detected". Called and was told account marked tentative. That is rather unacceptable. Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues and/or what a solution may be.
