How to stop dual band broadcasting to see and split 5GHz and 2.4GHZ on Vincent modem

Hello, apologies if this doesn't make sense, I've been trying to troubleshoot with little luck:

I recently signed up for Virgin + have the Vincent modem. Every device in my home connects *except* my work laptop and Samsung tv. From googling, it looks like the issue is that I only have the 5ghz network and not 2.4ghz?

I logged into the 192.168etc dashboard to try and figure it out, but I'm not seeing the settings for it anywhere. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Answering this myself in case anyone ever has the same issue:

1. Under "Manage my Wifi" toggle OFF "Whole Home Wifi" and Save

2. You can now access "Advanced Settings" and uncheck "Keep a common network name (SSID)"

3. I just added 2.4 and 5.0 to the respective networks.

And woilah! Now it's super easy to connect devices to the 2.4ghz network.

Hi all,

I’m on Virgin Plus (Canada) with the Sagemcom FAST 5689 “Vincent” / Home Hub 4000. I want to keep the modem for the WAN/PPPoE (Bridge) but run all Wi-Fi through my Nest Wifi Pro mesh. So I need to turn off both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios on Vincent.

In the web UI at 192.168.2.1Manage my Wi-Fi, I only see SSID and password fields and the “Whole Home Wi-Fi” toggle. There’s no “Advanced settings” link and no way to scroll to it (tried French/English, Safari/Chrome on Mac, zooming in/out).

Where exactly do you disable 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz on ''Vincent''?

Thanks in advance
